Help spread the word to
every local music-person you know. We need more people coming to the
sessions to prove viability in continuing with these type programs.
This program is designed FOR THE MUSICIANS and INDUSTRY FOLKS and
presented by those who best know the industry and local scene - take
advantage of the opportunities it provides. NICE THINGS PEOPLE HAVE SAID...
"I just wanted to personally thank you for your time, kindness and
thoughtful words last night at the Gig Club. You put together a very fun
and informative club. It is and was excellent. You do us all so much
justice. Thank you for everything. I hope the lord blesses you greatly and
you continue to be a strong leader in the Tacoma and Local music industry.
We truly need more people like you. Once again thank you."
"What you do is so inspirational to people
like me, who aren't really people people."
"I speak
all over the U.S., but can't remember the last time I saw anybody organize Just wanted to send you a quick reply to your email. If I haven't told
you lately, you are amazing and I am so grateful that you came into our
lives. You have made such a tremendous difference in our music community
and I don't ever want that to go unnoticed. I love you so much and
am so proud of all of your extra efforts. "Thank you so much for the GIG CLUB. I have been encouraging acquaintances from other band to attend the meetings in hopes of improving the attendance of such a valuable program." - Dave Milhone, dedset (showcasing the October 17th session) "Thanks for putting on the Gig Club gathering featuring Neil Sussman. I found it informative and fun." - David Lemon "It's always great to see someone so devoted on helping out musicians especially when they share a passion for music." - Mike, Ghost Runner on Third "Just wanted to say congratulations on putting on such a great program, I thought last night was really excellent and informative and something that Tacoma has needed for many years. " - Evan Purcell, Prairie Dogs "I see the Gig Club filling a silent void present in many music communities - the business side of making music. As artists, we often are so consumed by our craft that the business aspect of our trade is either under-managed or altogether neglected. The Gig Club has taken the bold step of offering what many musicians probably wish they'd had - a little business knowledge and experience; not to mention endless opportunities for networking." "As a self-taught musician, I challenge anyone to find books or articles packed with the kind of knowledge gleaned from the first two invaluable sessions at the Gig Club. It's the kind of information you can't just go and find - at any price." "The Gig Club's network of talented locals represent a broad artistic and professional spectrum. Working with the unified vision of helping the artists in the community, they offer a generous collective of support, knowledge, experience and sense of community that you simply can't get from books or the internet - if you could even find someone to write about it. Cheers!" - Maryann Connell "We had a lot of fun Saturday thanks to you and your Gig Club. Michael [Laskow of TAXI] totally impressed and inspired me with his energy and happiness. He even got me excited about my music again. I'm glad he had a good time too, and you and your gig club made that happen for him (and possibly the fabulous calzones at Rock Pasta). He'll probably be using Tacoma as a good example in his future presentations. Ya done good, girl!" - Pat Marshall
